The press operators find the PANTHER system so much better than the competitor’s unit, it’s all to do with the ease of access when they set up from job to job. We are running one of our presses with the competitor’s unit and a PANTHER side by side and the operators keep asking can we replace the competitors for another PANTHER inspection system as it’s so much easier to use.

The other noticeable thing with running the two system side by side is the difference in resolution and the picture quality i.e. the Panther far out performs the competitors for picture quality thus making the job easier to run whilst running at speed, as any imperfections in the print can be seen because of the picture clarity, another upside to this is it cuts down on rejections which means a lower running waste.

The panther system is very good, all the press operators are really happy with it.

It seems to be one of those pieces of kit that just works with no drama and minimum input from the printer. The installation was very good.

Following an installation of Tectonic’s K3 digital Print Inspection system earlier this month, Italian Print company A.L.F have reported back that Tectonic’s system has not met, but superseded their expectations. They reported back that K3 Digital was a fine video inspection system,  for which they:

“did not suppose that for this price it would have been possible to find such an advanced technology”.
